Two thousand seats all in need of a book, a small booklet, a card and a pen. Picking up as many books as my arms could carry I set about helping with the task. Two and a half hours later the task was almost complete. My back ached from constant bending. Stretching helped somewhat but only for a moment.
I grabbed another handful of pens and small booklets. The words on the booklet stopped me in my tracks. Born For This. I smiled. I laughed. Really Lord! This is what I was born for? Putting books and pens on seats?
Another booklet and another pen put on another seat in readiness for two thousand women. Women who would have information in their hands to help them navigate the conference. Women who would have a card on which to write a prayer request or a praise report and, a pen with which to write.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in various forms. 1Peter 4:10
I do not think placing written material on chairs is my ultimate destiny in life, but in that moment it was what I was born to do. It was my assignment from the Lord.
Often we think unless we are doing something extraordinary for God then what we do doesn’t count. How wrong can we be? If we are doing what He has placed in our hands to do no matter how mundane the chore; it counts. It counts as obedience. It counts as faithful. It counts to the Lord.
Love this quote from Tanner Cangelosi who co-pastors with her husband Cory at NLC (New Life Church) in Hot Springs, Arkansas. “God has not called us to be phenomenal, but faithful”.
“God has not called us to be phenomenal, but faithful.”
When we are faithful in the mundane it opens doors to be faithful with bigger assignments. The thing to remember is bigger assignments does not mean we stop serving in the mundane.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5: 22-23a (Italics added)
I don’t know what my destiny looks like. I do know it involves being faithful in whatever He places before me.
What does faithfulness in this moment look like for you?

This is so beautiful thank you for this wonderful encouragement. As a prayer warrior I often wonder is this all there is to me, but I hear the Lord calling me. Be faithful to what i placed in your hand, and I go on rejoicing !!

So glad it was a source of encouragement to you. Though one ministry is not higher than another I have a special place in my heart for prayer warriors. I think it is a high calling indeed. It’s where breakthroughs are accomplished. Where the forces of evil are turned back and God’s people freed to move forward.
A prayer warrior is no small ministry. Thank you for standing in the gap on behalf of those whom the Lord places on your heart.
Pray on sister.
