Worship on Wednesday: No Longer Slaves

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Live free in the Lord dear sister and brother-in-Christ. Stand firm knowing you have been set free from bondage. You are His child and His spirit is in you. If we are going to be slaves, let us be willing slaves to Christ and His righteousness.

Father, thank you that you loved us first. We are your children, made new by the blood of Jesus and your Spirit lives in us. Now we call you Abba. Thank you that we can now say, I am a child of God! Amen.
